What is that thing?
The last time I checked, my hand was too fat to fit through the neck of a carboy. You may have this problem too. So how do you dry it out after you clean it? A hair dryer? No… A Sham-Wow? No… Nano-robots with paper towels? Sounds cool, but no. Carboy Dryer to the rescue! The Carboy Dryer lets you leave your carboy inverted so the water that would normally just sit on the bottom can run easily out the neck.
What level of homebrewer would use it?
Most homebrewers who have made a few batches of beer will have a carboy. If you are thinking of giving this as a gift, find out first if they have a carboy.
What does it look like?
Here’s what it looks like when a carboy is drying in it:
How much is it?
What do I say when I give this gift to make me look super-knowledgeable?
“Now you don’t have to worry about water sitting for a long time in the bottom of your carboy after you clean it, because I know you like to keep your equipment sanitary.”
Why will the person I give it to think I’m awesome for giving it?
People with carboys tend to love their carboys. It’s by far one of the most fragile pieces of equipment, which makes most homebrewers treat them with supreme care. Anything that helps them take care of their carboys better, and keeps them cleaner and more sanitary, is a great thing.
